It was great to see Paradigma Software’s Valentina listed on Doug Barry’s Web Services and Service-Oriented Architectures site under the list of recommended object-relational solutions. Doug has a book on the topic, Web Services and Service-Oriented Architectures: The Savvy Manager’s Guide. Valentina is a line of database products from Paradigma Software. I have a significant business interest in Paradigma.

Paradigma Software’s Valentina product line is made up of database servers on Windows and MacOS X, as well as developer solutions for creating desktop database solutions using a wide range of RAD tools, like Macromedia Director, REAL Software’s REALbasic and Runtime Revolution, as well as less RAD tools like Apple xCode, .net, Java and more. There is a membership program called Valentina Developers Network that allows developers to distribute Valentina 2 Server Embedded, just right for addressing the SMB market space.
