Currency Growth Markets

Some "rest of world" markets include those that have strong personal computer markets but also have currency valuation issues. These markets will experience bursts of interest based on the rise of local currency coupled with deregulation. This is particularly true of markets in South America.

High Piracy Rates

Some "rest of world" markets have both devalued currencies and very high rates of piracy. However several of these markets, ranging from the post- SOVIET block countries to smaller Asian markets, have relatively high computer literacy rates. These markets are also highly fertile markets for off-shore development.

Technically Challenged

Some "rest of world" markets include those with technical challenges, such as right-to-left writing systems (Arabic), which also have low computer literacy rates.

Target Revenue

The "rest of world" market should consist of about 5% of your annual unit sales.
